Chris Dealy believes branded content and commercials are art; an art form that requires years of developing the craft of writing, filmmaking, and comedy. Chris is equal parts improv actor, copywriter, director, and professional which is what gives him the ability to collaborate and generate ideas that elevate the work.
Award-winning creative director, ad industry veteran, and film director, Chris Dealy has shot over 200 commercials and video content during the course of his advertising career. Before making a home at LAIR, Chris spent twenty years as an advertising creative, formerly as Vice President, Senior Copywriter at McCann Erickson, and most recently Executive Creative Director at JWT. As a copywriter, creative director, and executive creative director he has worked on a wide variety of brands and campaigns – Coca Cola, Dos Equis, Diet Pepsi, Subaru, MasterCard Priceless, Rolex, Royal Caribbean, Kleenex, Google, Burger King, and Wendy’s to name a few.
In 2005, Dealy founded his own ad agency, Splick 13, creating award-winning campaigns for MTV, AMC, The New Jersey Devils, Island’s Speidel Watches, and Island’s Fine Burgers and Drinks. Splick 13 was where his love affair for directing began, and since then Chris has become a mainstay for brands like Kleenex and Tyson.
His background in stand-up comedy and improv paired with his panache for production helps him to understand how to communicate with clients, manage their creative aspirations, and deliver only the best content, having a laugh each step of the way.
